THE RESURGENCE OF NATIONALISM:
Nationalism: a political movement or belief that holds that a nation has the right to an independent political development based on a shared history and common destiny. Resource Nationalism: when a country decides to take part, or all, of one or a number of natural resources under state ownership. With the sovereignty of the nation-state in crisis (due in large part to the emergence of TNC power and Trade Bloc authority as seen above), many countries have seen a resurgence of nationalism. This has been a force present throughout various points in history and it may help your work to find more information about nationalism itself. To begin, see video. 4a.
